🔍 What’s New?

Improved Audio Recording Reliability

The mobile app now stores audio recordings locally on your phone during an appointment and keeps them securely available until they are successfully uploaded to the cloud.

Previous Behavior

  • Audio data was streamed directly to the cloud while recording.
  • Poor internet connectivity or temporary network interruptions could result in incomplete uploads or lost audio.
  • Recording reliability depended on having a stable internet connection throughout the appointment.

New Behavior

  • Audio recordings are stored locally on your phone as they are captured.
  • Recordings remain safely stored on your phone until they are successfully uploaded to the cloud.
  • If your phone is offline or has an unstable connection, recording continues uninterrupted.
  • The app automatically syncs pending recordings when an internet connection becomes available.
  • This significantly improves reliability and prevents audio loss caused by connectivity issues.
  • For the Quick Start workflow, appointments can also be created and started in offline mode.
  • Any pending data generated during the appointment will automatically sync when connectivity is restored.

Enhanced Appointment Access

Appointment schedule now syncs more effectively and remains accessible even when internet connectivity is limited.

  • Providers can start appointments directly from the synced schedule or Quick start, even with an unstable internet connection or while offline.
  • Any pending data generated during the appointment will automatically sync when connectivity is restored.

Benefits

  • No lost recordings due to poor or unavailable internet connectivity.
  • Improved support for providers working in areas with unreliable network coverage.
  • Access previously synced appointment schedules even when offline.
  • Ability to start appointments using Quick Start workflow without internet access.
  • More reliable appointment capture and transcription workflows.
  • Seamless background synchronization once connectivity is restored.

Not Supported

  • Logging into the mobile app still requires an active internet connection.
  • Live transcription continues to require an active internet connection.
  • While audio recording can now be completed offline and synced later, real-time transcription, patient assignment, and AI-generated content will not be available until the device regains internet connectivity.
  • Details from completed appointments, such as transcriptions and generated notes, are not available while offline. This was a deliberate design decision to ensure that PHI data is not stored locally on the device, helping maintain data security and compliance.

  • MED-4586 – Improved offline appointment access and synchronization, with clearer indicators showing when data has been synced.

🔍 What’s Been Fixed?

🐞 Bug Fixes:

  • #5824 Improved sign-in reliability and fixed issues that could occasionally affect user sessions.
  • #6297 – Fixed an issue where the appointment progress indicator did not always update correctly during custom workflows.
